Research & Internships - Real Life Experience (RLE)

During their fourth year of studies, undergraduate students are required to leave UTEC for a 6-month to 1-year supervised “real-world” experience, such as internships, exchange programs, research projects, field work, ventures, and other opportunities developed in a local or global context. These experiences serve to enrich the horizontal component of a T-shaped professional. International RLE are oriented towards UTEC undergraduate students who have at least a hundred and twenty (120) credits approved by the application call deadline and meet the prerequisites of the offered courses.

The Global Affairs Canada has launched the Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program 2017-2018 (ELAP) for Latin American and Caribbean citizens who wish to study, conduct research or develop professionally in Canada. ELAP scholarships promote partnerships, student mobility, and research collaborations among Canadian and Latin American and Caribbean post-secondary educational institutions.

Scholarship Value & Duration: $7,200 CAN for undergraduate students for 4 months or one academic term of research
